Jill Cooter Bio
Jill Cooter has been painting on porcelain for over 40 years. For many of those years she conducted porcelain art classes in South Australia and as a guest tutor in other Australian States. She was both teacher and mentor to the many porcelain artists she came into contact with.
Jill has studied with leading Australian mold-making masters, expanding her skills in mold-making, pouring, glazing and decorative hand painting.
Jill has always been interested in the metaphysical side of life – often predicting happenings and just ‘knowing’ . It was such a happening that lead her to making the porcelain beads.
Jill's work was accepted in London in a different medium but still with Porcelain in the years 1992 and 2003- the first South Australian to have this honour.
Her attention to detail is outstanding.
